provides resources and inspiration to support personal and cultural change through:
Body awareness practices support connection with the self, increase pleasure and pain-relief, and offer diverse pathways for physical engagement and communication. We can learn to listen to the body's expressions, and over time, understand better how to respond to them. We can develop skills in inner listening and in engaging the body. These skills weave into emotional intelligence.
Emotional intelligence practices support us in being present with what we feel, understanding the relationships between thought, sensation, and action--both in ourselves and others--and restoring peace within. Through inner inquiry we can become more familiar with and skilled at engaging with our emotional experiences, with creative expression and action being important features of this journey.
Inner inquiry releases us from unhelpful cyclic patterns of anxiety and stagnated energy. Inner inquiry helps us see past our assumptions and into what really is. This letting go of our usual ideas allows us to notice subtler connections between events, and reveals new and diverse possibilities for action. Once we see this growing set of possibilities and the different ways our choices can intersect, the kinds of creative expression and creative action needed to make meaningful communications and stimulate transformation become easily available.
Inner inquiry connects us with ourselves. Inner inquiry also shows us that "self" is not confined to our physical body, and that we are continuous with the natural world. As it becomes more and more sensible that other people and the natural world are not separate from the "I" we ordinarily perceive, the need to shift our values and actions to support ourselves in the context of the whole becomes apparent.
